lyrics

I ripped out my heart and threw it with tears in my eyes to the wall..
A black ink stain..
A picture of Dalí..

It’s cold in winter..
I can’t feel my hands but I feel the hands of the clock
Moving as fast as the blink of my eyes.. Tic- tac, tic-toc
Summer time.. Now the roses have the colour of blood
Red lips in a vase, that decorates this living room

I’m tired of always being dragged to the past
My nails engrave the floor
Those memories are painting a picture with brush strokes and splahes of black

Everything is upside down and I’m running from the queen in this chessboard
I’m Alice and I’m chasing my fateful end
Everyone moves on and I can’t seem to forget that blue night that I made up

Why am I still drowning in this goldfish bowl?
Is this the frame and me the one who’s standing still?

I drew the curtains and the night swamped into the room
It’s midnight… The clock strikes twelve
The inanimate come to life
The cloak of night is their shelter

I ripped out my heart and threw it with tears in my eyes to the wall..
A black ink stain..
A picture of Dalí..

I found a golden key
I never found its keyhole
I found a mirror that mirorred my pain
I found black quill
I wrote the sweetst words
I found a moment frozen in time

I’m tired of always being dragged to the past
My nails engrave the floor
Those memories are painting this picture with brush strokes and splahes of black

I picked up my heart and sewed it to my chest
I picked up my heart..

The sun is rising, I can feel the rays of light
The sun is rising, I can feel season change
Will I ever eat the cake that I found in a glass box and grow up and learnt to forget?
